Hi there,
I've started a marathon project, along with my cousin to view all the Doctor Who episodes in correct order from the very first one in 1963 to date.
We' formed a strategy to hire the DVD's from LoveFilm.com and to buy the VHS tapes (for those not available on DVD) on e-bay and then re-sell on e-bay once viewed - hopefully not losing too much in the process.
After investigating a bit further we realised that this would still leave gaps and through a bit of research found this site and now it looks like we can fill in a lot of those gaps.
Now the plan is to watch each episode once. I know that we can request dubbings of all of the LC recons (3 at a time), but it does seem a little wasteful of effort to get all the tapes written specifically for us to view once and then never again.
So I was wondering if there was anyone out there willing to send their tapes out for a one-off viewing and then they would be returned - I would pay postage both ways?
We currently have the 3rd DVD "The Edge of Destruction" on hire and after viewing those 2 episodes we have the choice of either viewing the 30 min BBC recon of Marco Polo or, hopefully, getting the full LC recon quickly.
Anyone interested?
