Hey everyone, havent vistited the Loose Cannon website for a while, just popped back to see if any new recons are in the works and I see there is; Evil of the Daleks it makes me very happy to know this recon is finally being made, I do own a recon of this story made by another group but the quality isnt very good, pics are fuzzy and the sound is a little hard to hear in place. Im sure the loose cannon version will be much better. But I was wondering, does anyone know how far this recon is away from completion? Thanks

They don't make a habit of giving us detailed progress reports. I think the feeling is if they say "it will be ready in October" and there are any delays that will cause more ill feeling than if they just say "we don't have a firm release date yet, we'll let you know as soon as it's ready."

LC's announcements are the proper way to conduct business. They only announce news when something is definite. Things can come up and delay a release for months if something really bad were to happen. LC does not need any extra pressure to have a recon ready by a certain date. They do not want to make a statement like DWO did last fall and have it backfire on them. Just wait and try to be patient for the recons because the work they do is very time consuming.

Maybe with a lot of luck, one of the stories that they have not done a reconstruction of will be recovered. In 1992, the BBC were almost ready to release The Tomb of the Cybermen on audio when the film prints were found in Hong Kong.

The duck is correct!

We prefer not to give dates as things can - and do - delay releases and rather than dissapoint we prefer just to surprise you, we usually announce the next release on the coming soon page, mainly because we usually have all the bits we need by that time so its pretty definate, but thats all.

Evil is a WIP and will most likely be the next release but one (after Smugglers) but i have no idea when that will actually be - and i'm the one doing it!

I'm wondering how, if at all, the "Zoe instruction" voice over will be dealt with. More likely held over for the Wheel in Space recon?

Well, the JV recon of Evil featured that sequence.. IIRC (I lost my tape of it ages ago), it also reconstructed the interrpution in transmission and the alt credits to that particular episode..

I would include it on both the Evil and Wheel recons (Evil because it was from a repeat of Evil and Wheel because it carries on from Wheel)

Sounds ideal. Though I'm sure nobody wants the Herb Alpert and Tijuana Brass interruption from the repeat! Err... probably...
