I was looking around online and found a box in which was a copy of The Strange Report - episode "Cover Girls." I knew Anneke Wills was one of the leads of this series so I had a look at it -- I don't think this series is available in the US. Not easy to find anyway.
I've skimmed through the episode very quickly, not watching it. It's nice to see "Polly" in color, on well-produced film. As far as I can tell, that's basically what the character here is. She does a little dance at the end, and during the credits. Anthony Quayle is the series lead and I believe Anne Travers from Web of Fear was in this episode. Anneke has a variety of haircuts most of which are very strange.
I still collect good reference of missing episode companions (a habit picked up when doing my animations), so I was hoping for some good closeups of Anneke, but as far as I can tell she's always shot in medium and wide shots!
The series does look good on DVD, very clean and filmic in that colorful 60s way.
Anyone in the know: are there other episodes I should be looking at for better shots of Anneke Wills?
A while back, I made a trailer called The Ten Doctors, where I cut footage of the actors who had played the Doctor into shots together, to make a trailer for a multi-Doctor story. I had a much less extensive collection of obscure Doctor Who related material then than I do now, and if I were doing that today would make some more surprising choices ..... But I will say that if anyone were to make such a trailer, this series would be a source for Polly shots, closeups or no.

| I have an episode of "Strange Report" in colour on a "Sweeney" boxed set,included as an extra as John Thaw appeared in an episode..........I had the good fortune to drop Anneke back at her friend's house last curry night, and we were yapping all about the Strange Report........she's a lovely lady! ianj |
