Russ has been working on both, but has temporarily stopped due to personal problems. |

"There will always be 108 missing episodes" But if they animate them like those two "Invasion" episodes, then it won't feel NEARLY as bad. |

| I suspect there are quite a few productions loose Cannon are working on, they were doing Evil Of The daleks in the middle of all the others. |
My destiny is in the stars, and to see the day when all 108 missing eps of Doctor Who and Shada are recons and or animations on dvd! |

Well, there were some recons called JV that had versions of The Web of Fear and The Wheel in Space. Maybe some of the old distributors still have copies of these. I really liked these versions of these particular stories. |

| Loose Canon reconstructions of these two stories would be most welcome. Although, I speak as a Pertwee specialist I have one or two friends that specialise in the Troughton period. They would also love too see such productions out there. |

They were terrible, slow moving, blurred, fuzzy, muffled, and unintelligible in places.
Those are the kind of recons to put people off watching the good quality ones.
I pray Russ gets over his problems and resumes them. I gather his hard drive got severely damaged which makes things far far worse too. |

| So are these the only two stories that haven't had a 'better' recon done? |

Web is.
But there was the most FANTASTIC recon of Wheel In Space, that not many people had seen, done by someone in America or Canada, that was sharp, clear, and used some CGI, and was brilliant, although nowhere near as brilliant as what I've seen so far of the unfinished new one, with a servo robot that looks like it's the real footage. |

Are you talking about the Axos Recons VCD one? |

| If it's the same one I've seen (and Ian's description certainly fits that), then I believe it is. |

Ah well then, let me say thanks to Ian and Derek for the kind words. It was myself that made that one. I was thinking about it the other day and dropped by here to see if Loose Cannon had done one since that time. I've gotten back into music these days so I haven't done much on the reconstruction end of things. I DID get about halfway through a reconstruction of The Moonbase that was coming along MUCH better than the Wheel In Space one was but unfortunately I never finished it. I remember I had some really good animations for the companions jumping about on the moon and the electric shocks from the Cybermen. Maybe I should render them and youtube the clips for the sake of things. Not sure if I'd get a takedown notice for that but I'm guessing I might.
As far as getting that WiS recon, Makkabee. I have to say I don't distribute it. Specifically this was because the reconstruction was a private one I did for myself. It was in a digital format (NTSC VCD) and while this was great for me, distributing it would have put the reconstruction community at even more legal risk than they've faced in the past, so I only made copies of it for Loose Cannon so they'd have it for their records. The Moonbase one was being prepared as a DVD-R format complete with several extras, re-edited menus to make it similar to those seen in the classic series DVD releases, and more. Maybe one day I'll revisit it but for me personally, it's just not the time at present. |

| I don't think you'd have anything to fear on Youtube, except people asking for more! |
Shove that in your canon. |

I have a question about these two stories. Looking at the list of recons I notice that there are telesnaps for both stories and I would have thought that lack of material would be the overriding factor regarding how easy or hard a recon is to make so how come these two stories were not made into recons before say stories like Galaxy Four and Daleks Masterplan which according to the list do not have telesnaps |

I would think it is because there are no telesnaps that has driven the need to produce a recon of stories like Galaxy 4 and Master Plan. Whereas with the telesnaps (published in Doctor Who Magazine and Doctor Who Classic Comics and DWB specials), you can at least see what had been on the screen and view the telesnaps yourself while listening to the soundtrack (from BBC Audio). Also, for a while, there were a number of fan groups making recons, so the availablity of telesnaps made it more than likely that one of those groups would tackle that story. |

Really they have been left until last because there were JV recons available for both of these stories, so they were not given as much priority. |

Maybe you could take the exisiting Monbase recon, which is beautiful high quality, and add some CGI scenes to that, then the quality would be REALLY good. Contact me by PM if you'd like to. |
