You see this on every forum - young kids looking for attention. It's usually harmless, even if the result will always be completely useless rubbish, and you can find the same sort of thing all over Youtube all the time.
It's the fact that this is one of the only posts in the Loose Cannon forum that's bugging me .... maybe a mod could move it out of here. Loose Cannon has made a name doing good recons, and here you have this ..... kid looking for attention .....
Seem to have scared the kid away thankfully. Vids pulled from Youtube, message erased. Maybe the thread could just be deleted!
It's hard to know how to deal with young people on the internet sometimes. They can be very harmful if you're not careful. Over at my own forum I've had a real problem with one user - who I've since learned claims to be autistic - who went completely nuts on us. And I've banned a couple of users - only one or two. But there are other users who I would describe as undereducated little children, who annoyed us all at first but eventually fell into line and calmed down rather than drama queening all over the place in illegible writing .... as teenagers do ....

I think the less said about this "recon" the better. If he manages to put something together worth looking at, we can judge then. At the moment, it's just hype. |

Of course it isn't going to look like a reconstruction yet, it's only part one. And I havn't even finished the introduction yet because my internet connenction can only handle 2mb per upload. |

First of all, that's not really a recon, is it? Looked more like a trailer for something with a wodge of unreadable text on it. Speaking of which - much of the text was at best very difficult to read, with some of it practically impossible to read. |

I suppose only people who used the old Loose Cannon forum would have understanded the post so here on this page is the full info.
Of course, you have to remember that at the same time, the trailer shows nothing of the reconstruction, and instead just cut together from what existed of the story! Also the colourisation was of a photo which has always been in colour - in fact appearing on the cover of the Radio Times!
Then at the same time the reconstruction was promised to include animation, CGI and all manner of cool features, every single one of which seems to have been quietly abandoned until we're back to a plain telesnap reconstruction.
Given the poor reputation you've unfortunately gained over on the LC forum, you'd probably be better off waiting until you have something to show for it, since otherwise there's nothing to talk about! |
