For anyone who wants to see this its fixed now, some sort of player issue or something
Russ Posted - 09 Jan 2008 : 22:27:10
Ah that works - thanks Nix - please note anyone viewing it that way it is supposed to be at a much smaller resolution so is a little blocky
toxicspurge Posted - 09 Jan 2008 : 21:07:33
Thanks for the tip, Nix! I'm sure that'll help a lot of folks!
nix Posted - 09 Jan 2008 : 19:12:23
Looks good. Anyone wanting to look at the trailer directly, or play in a different media player just replace /soon.htm with /trailers/aa.wmv in the URL.

I agree with toxic, having a visual reference definately helps concentration.
toxicspurge Posted - 28 Dec 2007 : 10:24:22
I have a lot of difficulty just listening to the soundtracks. I'm constantly distracted by other things, so I keep missing bits. With the recons, I have something to visually focus on, so it's much better.
Aussie who-boy Posted - 28 Dec 2007 : 10:20:14
I think that they are great........far better than having "no story" or a sound track only option......
toxicspurge Posted - 28 Dec 2007 : 10:12:26
It took me an episode or two, the first time I saw a recon, to get over the lack of motion, but after that, it's not a problem. I very much enjoy them. Most of the time, I feel like I've actually experienced the episode afterwards (of course not to the same degree I would a motion-episode).

I'd have to say my favorite LC Recon, though, is The Dalek Masterplan.

Well the Loose Cannon ones are similar - but better :-)

Actually in comparison the LC ones are similar to the one on the BBC's Tenth Planet, though more recent ones have new innovations such as CGI, they are a bit of a marmite thing, some people can watch them and enjoyy them as much as an existing episode, whereas some think they are as dull as dishwater
toxicspurge Posted - 27 Dec 2007 : 17:58:39
I've seen the original LC Recon. It was enough to tell me it's a fascinating story. It's a crime it doesn't survive, but I'm very much looking forward to version II.

I haven't been able to get it to work on Firefox, but after several efforts I managed to get it to play on IE.

Didnt play for me, but then im a vlc man. That tends to play whatever with no fuss :)
Russ Posted - 25 Dec 2007 : 09:48:45
I still can't actually get it to work myself! There is some player issue needing an update but we are unaware of the details, Steve is trying to sort it

It looks impressive, as good as you can really get considering. Im not really into the recons but the ones Ive seen have been enjoyable.
toxicspurge Posted - 22 Dec 2007 : 13:20:43
Bingo, when I tried to click on it, a bar at the top of my screen said it couldn't be played without out XXXX update, and asked if I wanted to install it. I clicked yes and then it played fine. Do you not get that bar at the top of the screen when you click on it?
bingo99 Posted - 22 Dec 2007 : 12:38:44

Russ Posted - 22 Dec 2007 : 11:55:03

toxicspurge Posted - 22 Dec 2007 : 00:59:05
